Our colleagues, Claudio Javier García, Ana Ruiz and Luis Casas, propose a method, based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), automated and replicable for any city, which allows us to calculate the energy savings that we would obtain if we rehabilitate the exterior envelope of the housing stock, adapting it to the current regulations of nearly zero consumption buildings. In addition, they have applied this method to the case of the city of Zaragoza, comparing the savings at the neighborhood level.
